Security Screen Mesh’s Purchase Notes

Security screen mesh is a mesh made of stainless steel wire mesh. Installed at home, with anti-theft, anti-mosquito function. Safe and reliable, long service life. Therefore it is widely used in the market. So how do you choose security screen mesh?

First look at the material, but also look at the size and wall thickness of the diamond mesh. The thicker the material used in the diamond mesh, the higher the hardness.

Second, look at the process and surface treatment of security screen mesh.

The good security screen mesh handle is fine, and the bad work is rough.

In fact, there is a cheaper mesh on the market, which is made of iron mesh. If you install this net at home, it will rust and even rust over a long period of time.

So how do you distinguish between stainless steel wire mesh and iron mesh? Use magnets.

If it is a stainless steel wire mesh, the magnet will not absorb the mesh. If it is a iron mesh, the magnet will stick to the mesh. This is the difference between stainless steel and ordinary iron mesh materials.

Stainless steel wire mesh is actually good or bad. A good security screen mesh should have a material of 304. The material of the poor quality stainless steel wire mesh is 201. What is the difference between 304 and 201?

201 contains high manganese, the surface is very bright, it is dark, and the high manganese content is easy to rust. 304 contains more chrome and the surface is matte and rust free. You can put the two together to match the color.

The most important is the different corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of 201 is very poor, so the price is much cheaper. Since 201 contains lower nickel, the corrosion resistance is not as good as 304, so the price of 201 is lower than 304.

So how do you judge the rust resistance of these three grids?

Prepare a bottle of stainless steel identification solution, first scrape off the top layer of the three-layer mesh, then apply the stainless steel identification solution and place a piece of paper underneath. After two minutes, see what has changed.

Looking at the iron mesh first, there will be a lot of rust spots that have penetrated into the paper. 201 stainless steel mesh, it also has rust spots on white paper, and finally 304 has almost no rust spots.
